Mary Cook has been delighting readers for years with her stories of growing up in the Ottawa Valley. Please join us in front of the library on Friday, July 10 at 11am as we unveil a plaque that celebrates her contributions to local literature and culture. All are welcome to attend!

The Carleton Place Public Library will be closed on Monday, May 18, 2026 for the Victoria Day long weekend. All items will be extended by one day so that nothing will be overdue and you can return any items to our blue bin on the front steps of the library while we’re closed. We will
