Two new popular programs for seniors are back at the library this winter. Drop by the library to pick up your free Boot Grippers and Vial of Life!
Get a Grip Campaign
Let’s “get a grip” and stay safe and on our feet this winter! Free boot grippers are available at the Carleton Place Public Library for Lanark County residents age 65 and older. For those under 65, the grippers are $25/pair, and your funds go towards subsidizing the program for others. Donations over and above the cost of the grippers are welcome and will help support the program! Limit of 2 pairs per person due to limited supply and anticipated demand. Cash or cheque (made payable to Carebridge Community Support) accepted.
Vial of Life program
The Vial of Life is designed to speak for you when you can’t speak for yourself. The vial is a specially labelled container that stores important medical information. In the event of an emergency, first responders can use this information and be fully advised of pre-existing conditions when administering medical treatment. There is no charge for this program.
These programs are made possible through the generous support of Lanark County, the United Way of East Ontario, and Carebridge Community support.
